The Snipe Refund

Our first token launch was sniped at mint — bots bought the launch block and dumped on everyone who came after. That's on-chain history now, and so is every wallet that got hurt. So we're doing the only honest thing: everyone who lost ETH buying the first $SHERWOOD gets paid back in ETH — computed from the chain itself, on the explorer built to read it, and funded by a share of the relaunch token's trading tax rather than a promise.

Where the refund comes from

We're relaunching on Flap, and the new token is a tax token — every trade pays a small tax that accrues to the creator in ETH. The exact tax rate and the share routed to the refund pool are published here the moment the token launches — we don't post rates we haven't committed to on-chain.

  • You get paid in ETH — the asset you actually lost. Not a bag of the new token you'd have to sell into your own refund.
  • The debt is fixed. 1.9315 ETH, set by the snapshot below. It never grows, and the refund share ends when it hits zero.
  • The pool is public. Every payout leaves one address you can watch on this explorer — inflow from the tax, outflow to the 87 wallets. No trust required.
  • It tracks volume, not a calendar. More trading repays it faster; if the token doesn't trade, repayment is slow. We're not going to promise you a date we can't control.

How you get paid

The relaunch token carries a trading tax. A fixed share of it is routed to a public refund pool and paid out in ETH to every eligible wallet, pro-rata to its verified loss, until the full amount is repaid. Payments are sent directly to your wallet — no claim, no connect, no signature, ever.

  • There is nothing to claim. Payments are sent directly to eligible wallets. No site — including this one — will ever ask you to connect a wallet or sign anything for this refund.
  • Anyone DMing you a "claim link" is a scammer. Report and move on.
  • Every distribution transaction hash is published on this page as it happens, so each payment is verifiable right here.

How losses were computed

The snapshot walks every transfer of the dead token 0x225370…95F062 dead — do not buy and nets each wallet's ETH against the launch pool: ETH spent buying minus ETH recovered selling. Loss = what the chain says you're down.

  • Snipers are excluded — wallets whose first buy was in the launch window (first buy ≤ launch block +1). Most profited anyway; the math already leaves them out.
  • The deployer wallet and all protocol contracts are excluded.
  • The full snapshot and the script that generated it are committed to the repo — anyone can re-run it and get the same numbers. History is immutable.

The refund program is a voluntary, discretionary goodwill distribution by the Sherwood team, funded by a share of the relaunch token's trading tax. It is not compensation, not a settlement, not a security, and not an investment contract. Repayment depends entirely on trading volume — no amount, rate of repayment, or completion date is guaranteed. Allocation math may be adjusted for fairness before distribution, and any change will be published on this page. Buying the relaunch token is not required to receive a refund. Not financial advice.
